The Rig is offered as an SCR electric rig utilizing latest technology. Rig power will be derived from 4 ea. CAT 32 GEN SETS w/ 910 kw. The complete Rig complement is designed to move rapidly from one site to another. The Mast is a Superior Derrick design with substructure and is 770,000# hook load capacity and is 150' in height. The Draw works is a Foster and Hendricks Helicopter design and rated at 1500 HP. The entire rig is designed to meet the rigors of jungle operations and helicopter logistics. Instrumentation
This will include a Petron 3D Touch Screen Display and System Controller. The electronic hardware is a 15 inch hi-bright LCD color flat-panel display with touch screen and integral high performance computer. The computerized display and panel utilizes both RS-485 and Ethernet connectivity to exchange data with the Petron 3D system. Special version of the PNT software. Class I Div. Electrical

New SCR Modules with Four (4) Cat C-32 with 910 KW generators and Eight (8) SCR's for (@) DC SCR Controls for 1 - 1500 HP Drawworks, 1 - 1000 HP Rotary, and four (4) 800 HP Mud pumps and one (1) spare SCR.

Heli Rig Modules - each 12' L x 10' W x 9" H - Modules to be mounted with end to end from each other creating a complete structured SCR MCC that will be 48 10 x 9 feet end to end. 4 Unites to be wired with receptacles and plugs for quick disconnects between Generators, DC Motors, Controls and MCC external loads per the following - Modules 1 and 4, A/C, Transformers: Modules 2 and 3 - 2 generator cabinets, 4 SCR's - Allows 1 and 2 or 3 and 4 to leap frog from site to site. - each 12' L x 10' W x 9" H - Modules to be mounted with end to end from each other creating a complete structured SCR MCC that will be 48 10 x 9 feet end to end. 4 Unites to be wired with receptacles and plugs for quick disconnects between Generators, DC Motors, Controls and MCC external loads per the following - Modules 1 and 4, A/C, Transformers: Modules 2 and 3 - 2 generator cabinets, 4 SCR's - Allows 1 and 2 or 3 and 4 to leap frog from site to site.

NEMA 3R structures with roofs fabricated to overlap (High Low) to allow weather protection. All Drives to be provided with exterior Air Conditioners sized to allow required rating one per each Module with SCR drives that are mounted on module and will be heli-lifed as a part of that module. (Built as same lift with module)

All equipment listed under Items 2 through 4 will be mounted in the modules and wired to the receptacles located on the modules. The mating plugs for these receptacles will be installed based on the load (example Generators, DC Motors or AC loads.) All Power on Modules to be electrically interlocked to prevent disconnecting under load.

600 Volt Generator Control and Drilling SCR Switchboard
New generator control and drilling SCR switchboard for the control of six (6) customer supplied 600 volt AC, 3 phase, 3 wire, main generators with automatic parallel operation. The switchboards will have a 600-volt, AC, 3 phase, 60 Hz tin- plated continuous copper bus rated for 85 kAIC. The switchboard will consist of the following:
  • Four (4) Generator Control Sections, each will consist of the following:
    • One (1) Generator power circuit breaker
    • 1200 AF, 600 volt, 85 kAIC, fixed mounted, electrically operated, with UVT, 4a and 4b auxiliary contacts, long time, short time and instantaneous trip.
    • One (1) Circuit breaker switch.
    • Two (2) Circuit breaker lights.
    • One (1) Control Power transformer.
    • Three (3) CT's, for relays and metering, ratio to suit generator.
    • Two (2) Potential transformers.
    • One (1) Digital voltage regulator, Basler DECS-200-1-C, mounted and wired.
    • One (1) Digital generator system control package, Woodward GCP-30 series.
    • One (1) Engine Run switch.
    • One (1) Generator power available light.
    • One (1) Generator space heater indicating light.
    • One (1) Generator space heater switch.
    • One (1) Generator space heater relay.
    • One (1) Lot terminal blocks, fuse blocks, fuses, nameplates, wire markers, lugs and #14 wire as required.
  • GCP-30 devices are manufactured and designed to synchronize generators and load share as needed.
  • One (1) Distribution Feeder Breaker Section consisting of the following:
    • Remote Mud Tank Distribution Panel for all Mud System loads.
    • Two (2) 500 kVA 480 volt service transformer primary feeder circuit breaker, 1600 AF, 600 volt, 85 kAIC, fixed mounted, manually operated, with UVT, 2a amd 2b auxiliary contacts and thermal magnetic trip.
  • Auxiliary contacts and thermal magnetic trip.
  • Five (5) SCR Drilling Drives to Consist of the following:
    • Each of the drilling SCR drives is dedicated with emergency flexibility available to run in a back up capacity for reversing if needed.
    • DC motors to be controlled are GE 752's rated at 1000 HP -One per pump, one 1000 HP Rotary and two 750 HP on Drawworks.
  • SCR1-SCR3 - New Power Design Model # S70NR1600DCSR, six pulse, two (2) quadrant, non- reversing, SCR drive with a Siemens 6RA70 SIMOREG fully digital microprocessor controlled regulator circuit. The drive will be rated at 600 volts AC input voltage. The Armature circuit will be rated for 750 volts DC output voltage at 1600 amps DC continuous while operating at 45 degrees C (113 degrees F) and at 2000 amps DC or 125% for 60 seconds. These drives are configured for the control of a pair of series wound DC motors.
  • SCR4&SCR5 - New Power Design Model # S70AR1600DC, six pulse, four (4) quadrant, armature contactor reversing, regenerative SCR drive with a Siemens 6RA70 SIMOREG fully digital microprocessor controlled regulator and field circuit. The drive will be rated at 600 volts AC input voltage. The armature circuit will be rated for 750 volts DC output voltage at 1200 amps DC continuous while operating at 45 degrees C (113 degrees F) and at 1200 amps DC or 150% for 60 seconds. These drives are configured for the control of a either a pair or a single series wound DC motors. Each of the SCR drives will have the following features:
    • One (1) Siemens 6RA70 microprocessor controller with a 16 bit, 38 MHz high performance multi-tasking microprocessor. This digital system will allow parameters to be entered via a user friendly, windows like software package. The parameters can be stored on diskettes thereby guaranteeing that the original performance may be repeated should the original parameters be lost. Some included features will be:
      • Built in diagnostics with at least 50 detailed fault codes (such as failure of a particular SCR to fire, field loss, under/over voltage, etc.) and a built in 8 channel digital oscilloscope which can record with pre-trigger and post trigger capabilities any of the 394 test points
      • Digital speed & torque regulator.
      • Programmable acceleration and deceleration profiles
      • Programmable current limit, torque limit, and time over current (I2t) protection.
      • Programmable minimum and maximum speed set points.
      • Constant current, active field supply with field forcing and field economizing controls.
      • Four (4) built-in analog inputs and four (4) built-in analog outputs.
      • Digital and analog tachometer generator feedback inputs.
      • Serial communication via RS232 or RS485 serial ports.
      • General purpose P-I-D loop for additional regulation modes.
      • Software programming package to aid in start up.
      • Tachometer to voltage feedback switching.
    • One (1) 1200 amp, 3 pole, breaker, 85 kAIC, fixed mounted
    • One (1) 1000 amp DC SCR bridge consisting of six (6) SCR's.
    • Six (6) individual pulse transformers, one for each SCR.
    • Six (6) R/C snubber networks, one for each SCR.
    • One (1) Armature Ammeter, switchboard type.
    • One (1) Armature Voltmeter, switchboard type.
    • One (1) Digital Interface Programming and Diagnostics Keypad.
    • One (1) "AC Power Available" pilot light.
    • One (1) "DC Power On" pilot light.
    • One (1) "Bridge High Temperature" pilot light.
    • One (1) "Motor Blower On" pilot light.
    • One (1) "Drive Fault" pilot light.

  • One (1) Phase Back Protection & Control System PLC with Fiber Optic Connections (The price includes a Siemens S7 PLC based blackout protection and control system with drilling drive system phase back protection. This PLC will be daisy chain connected via a copper PROFIBUS connection to the drilling drives listed above. The generator protection modules will be connected via hardwire. This PLC will then be connected to the Siemens S7 remote I/O unit located at the driller's console via redundant glass fiber optics. The PLC optical link modules (OLMs) and the fiber optical breakout boxes are included in the price below. We have not included the actual fiber optic cable. )
  • One (1) Driller's Console New Driller's console made from 316 stainless steel NEMA 4X enclosed with acid etched nomenclature and all pilot lights and metes behind wire-impregnated glass. This console will be type Z purged for operation in a Class 1, Division 2 location. The console will consist of the following:

Dog House
The dog house will be new and will mount to the substructure in the collapsed mode. It will elevate to the top of the Drill Floor with the lifting and expansion of the substructure. It will be lighted and contains 5 lockers for the Drilling personnel, refrigerator, station for water, First aid, Microwave, bench seating and Fans.

Mast
The mast is a 150 foot with Sheaves 770,000 pound static hook and load and an adjustable racking board. It has full ladder access to the crown, landing deck and a Geronomo line. The design is a Full Circle design. The crown is 6 sheaves of 60" diameter with 1 1/4" wire.

Mud Systems


The Mud System will be composed of a Eight (8) Tank System (1500 bbl) with a solids control system designed for the rig. The tanks will be integrally designed and at 200 bbls each. All components will be electrically driven through SCR distribution and command. In addition the following equipment is included:

The Blow Out Prevention control system will be controlled by the Closing Unit and it will consist of the following: A seven (7) station closing unit, E-series style equipped with G-series style hydraulic control manifold, six (6) three position, shear seal, selector type control valves installed and tested with control manifold. Electric pump triplex pump series equipped with 1.25" plungers. Three (3) new super-sixty

40:1 air pumps equipped with new hydro-pneumatic pressure switch, air regulator control valve, with water trap and "y" type strainer. A new skid and 280 gallon tank with new piping. Four (4) new six-port API approved and certified three port bottle manifolds approved to schedule 160, hydro-tested to 4,500 psi. A total of twenty- two (22) new 11 gallon accumulators, bottom load 3,000 psi wp 2"NPT connection. A mini-panel, a graphic remote panel.

Power Generation


This rig will be build with new SCR modules with Four (4) Cat C-32 with 9 10KW generators and Eight (8) SCR's for Two DC SCR controls for 1 - 1500 HP Draw Works, 1 - 1000 HP Rotary, and Four (4) 1000 HP Mud pumps. Also included is one spare SCR. The system is designed to allow two (2) site power (rig down and rig up at separate locations). Four Heli Rig Modules 12 ' long x 10 ' wide x 9" high. 600 volt generator control and drilling SCR Switchboard consisting of:
  • 4 Generator control sections
  • Two master control synchronizing sections
  • Two Distribution feeder breaker sections
  • Six SCR Drilling Drive
  • One Phase Back protection and control system PLC with Fiber Optic Connections
  • One Driller's Console
  • A 480 Volt AC Motor Control Center
  • Transformers
  • Electrical Rig up.
Gen Sets - ESI has provided for Four (4) Petroleum Drilling Package Gensets as follows: Each is Caterpillar Model C32, 910 DW, 1300 KVA, 600 Volt, 60 HZ, 1800 RPM, 0.7 PF.

Generators and Attachments - 3 phase brushless, salient pole. Permanent magnet exited, random wound, 12 lead. Permanent magnet generator include Caterpillar's digital voltage regulator. (CDVR)

Air inlet system with air cleaner, single element canister type with service indicator.

Full control EMCP3 Control panel, Cooling system with radiator fan and fan drive, fan and belt guards, coolant drain line with valve, low coolant level sensor, Caterpillar extended life coolant.

Exhaust system, Exhaust manifold - dry - single - 8". 203 mm, ID round flanged outlet.

Fuel system has primary fuel filter with water separator. Secondary fuel filters, fuel cooler, flexible fuel lines and fuel priming pump.

Auxiliary Equipment
The Mud System will be composed of a Eight (8) Tank System (1500 bbl) with a solids control system designed for the rig. The tanks will be integrally designed and at 200 bbls each. All components will be electrically driven through SCR distribution and command. In addition the following equipment is included:

Engineering and Certifications


The package will include all new drawings, remanufactured equipment drawings, new and remanufactured data sheets and all specifications for all equipment. The data will also include all engineering calculations and all required certificates from API and other authorizing authorities. Data books will include all Equipment Data sheets, Specifications, Start up manuals for the Rig, work sheets and all warranty information.


Warranty


This rig as described herein is warranted for all parts for 1 year.
